Manual and Exercise Therapy
for The Upper Quadrant
This two-day upper quadrant manual and exercise therapy course introduces an integrated approach to the treatment of cervical and thoracis spine and shoulder musculoskeletal problems. The focus of examination and treatment is on the articular, neural, and motor systems. Essential background theory is covered, but the emphasis is on practical sessions, clinical reasoning, and real and paper case studies. The content draws on work by many key manual and exercise therapy schools of thought. Case studies are used to develop clinical reasoning and illustrate common clinical conditions. The evidence informing clinical practice is highlighted throughout the course. The course follows a unique simple management approach that has been developed by the tutor over the years based on his clinical and academic experience where assessment always guides and informs the treatment selection and vice versa.
